I am an oncology nurse navigator in the outpatient oncology dept at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. I primarily work with patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer, and have given out many of the Hannah Banana bags that were delivered to our hospital a few years ago. They really are such a great diversion for our patients undergoing treatments.

While I have given out the bags that contain the art supplies, I find a great need for the bags that have the white board for my patients that have had a new tracheostomy or laryngectomy. I was hoping you might be able to provide our department with some additional bags with the white boards (I have about 5 left). Whatever you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all your organization does for hospitalized, ill patients. I know first hand how much they appreciate the gifts you provide.

"The patient was so happy with her items especially
the word search book, she said it was just like the ones she does at home.
The nurses said they like giving them out because they are conveniently
packaged and easy to distribute, and it makes them feel good when they see
the patients doing the puzzles and activities during their stay"

"Thank you so much for the bags you deliver to our oncology departments at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. As the Oncology Clinical Social Worker and Outreach Coordinator I have to say that the bags are greatly appreciated by our patients. Getting those bright yellow bags, filled with surprises and things to do, really makes a difference for patients getting chemotherapy, radiation treatments, or just waiting around to see the doctors.
Please keep sending them!!

"Thanks to you and your team! We have been giving the bags out. Several times patients have asked if they have to pay for them---shows how rare it is for adult patients to receive such treats. This is going to have a great impact on many people----we’re looking forward to continuing this special program!"

"I just wanted to take the time to personally thank you for the Hannah Banana bags. Our patients love them, and our repeat patients ask us for them before we even have a chance to do their admission! We always tell them to fill out the card so that you receive the feedback. Hopefully they do so. Thanks so much for brightening the lives of our patients!"
